Re: HP-UX Booting problem

Hi,

I would start at the top:

>Mount File systems
>Output from "/sbin/rc1.d/S100localmount >start:
>------------------------------
>mountall:cannot mount /dev/datavg06/lvol01
>mountall:diagnostics from mount
>vxfs mount: /dev/datavg06/lvol01 is >corrupted.needs cheking
>checking quotas

Go into single user mode and check the disk of:
/dev/datavg06/lvol01

Disk could be gone bad ....

Re: HP-UX Booting problem

After installing patches or other software and a reboot the system needs to configure them.

This is normal and can take a while.

But you have a problem with network, so the sw processes cannot start and cannot configure.

Reboot the server, go to single user mode and fix your networking problem. Once this is done, boot up normally and let swconfig configure.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: HP-UX Booting problem

Shalom,

ifconfig: chek plumbing error: Bad file number
invalid tunable names, tcp_time_wait_intreval for this modules,
for names, use name '?'

Indicates s network problem.

Check /etc/rc.config.d/netconf for errors.

Do not keep backups netconf in that directory.
