How to identify an Ignite-ux server.
How can I identify weather the HP-UX server that I have with me is configured as HP-UX Server ?

I am not clear Ur query, U want identify Ur HP-UX environment which server HP-UX Ignite Backup server or U want new install HP-UX server.

Can U check manual each an every server:-
1. Login as a root user
2. Check the /etc/export or exports file entry all hosts mount path info is there

What mean to say...I have got 10 HP-UX server , and I do not know which one is configured as Hp-UX ignite server , please let me how to find that and is there any particular daemon to identify the same...

you can check if this directory is not empty:
/var/opt/ignite/clients/
if some servers have been installed/backupped, you'll have directory with mac address of them.

Ignite server local client archive directory is:
/var/opt/ignite/recovery/archives
When take the backup it stored in that location by default.
