IGNITE AND DHCP ISSUE(C.7.1.93 and C.6.1.144)
Hi ,
We have setup an automation environment.
We are facing some strange issue.
One of our pa machines while trying to do a lanboot fails to send a dhcp packet out with ignite version C.7.1.93 , however when the client uses C.6.1.144 version it sends a dhcp packet out during network boot.
One irony is that with the same C.7.1.93 version of Ignite bundle, on other subnets pa machines works well.
SO is there a patch that needs to be installed / some issue with the ignite bundle C.7.1.93 ? that needs to be looked into ? please reply

Re: IGNITE AND DHCP ISSUE(C.7.1.93 and C.6.1.144)
Shalom,
I've nevef seen an Ignite patch, like you would for example see a kernel patch. In general, when the HP team finds problems in Ignite they try and fix it with a new version of the binaries.
A search of the patch database for Ignite on ITRC turns up only three patches, none of which seem to deal with this issue.
PHCO_33327
PHSS_27858
PHSS_36162
Sounds like you have run into a Q&A issue with the Ignite release.
Options:
Roll back to the previous version.
Upgrade the clients.
Wait for a new release.
The second option is something I would try in the lab first.
I would make sure HP is aware of the problem. Posting this thread makes HP people aware of it but does not make HP aware of the issue. To do that you'll need to contact a response center and file a bug report.
