Ignite B.5.4.50 install to 10.20 fails
I support several older servers running 10.20 and Ignite-UX B.5.3.35. I have tried to remove the older version and install B.5.4.50, but the installation fails: 'data_model_revision - 2.40 not supported. This release of Software Distributor supports 2.20 2.10 2.00.' What do I need to install to get SD up to speed so I can install B.5.4.50?

Re: Ignite B.5.4.50 install to 10.20 fails
I was not aware that ANY B.* version of Ignite would install on an HP-UX 10.20 machine directly.
The latest I have for 10.20 is A.3.7.95.
I *think* some of the B.* versions supported doing make_net_recovery to 10.20, but that support was dropped at some point.
You *MAY* have just found that release. I would suggest going through the Ignite release notes for that version and see what they say about 10.20 support.

Re: Ignite B.5.4.50 install to 10.20 fails
Shalom,
You will need a new operating system before you can install Ignite.
HP-UX is very specific on add in software. It has to be compiled and designed for the specific OS.
Ignite creates bootable OS images. How can a version designed for HP-UX 11.00 or 11.11 do taht for 10.20.
10.20 is out of support and if you want the support of Ignite you'll need to use the version Patrick mentioned which is available on the application cd's.
Better yet, the time has come for an OS migration.

Re: Ignite B.5.4.50 install to 10.20 fails
Patrick, Thanks I have 5 servers with the Ignite-UX recovery Tool subset and 2 with Ignite-UX Installation Utilities for Installing 10.20 Systems. Swlist says they are are at B.5.3.35, but I don't know to what extent they were tested. It was done long before I got here.
Steven, Thank you also. Believe me, the decision on when to upgrade is not mine to make! I realized there was an OS dependency, but thought B.5.4.50 was the last version if Ignite-UX supported on 10.20.
