Ignite C.6.0.109 make_medialif: error

Hello,

I just installed Ignite C.6.0.109 on hpux 11.00
When I execute the command
./make_tape_recovery -x inc_entire=vg00 -I -v -a /dev/rmt/2mn

I receive the error
make_medialif: error - /opt/ignite/boot/Rel_B.11.00/WINSTALL does not exist, is
not a regular file or is not readable.
ERROR: System Error, /opt/ignite/bin/make_medialif failed creating boot LIF
file.
ERROR: Failed to generate LIF on tape .

Any idea's

When you download Ignite C.6.0.109 did you specify that you want version for HPUX 11.00 ?

the file that is good for it is:

Ignite-UX-11-00_C.6.0.109_HP-UX_B.11.00_32+64.depot

Do you have the file /opt/ignite.../WINSTALL?. If not, then you may have to reinstall or copy it from another system with the same Ignite version where it is working. It is required to create the boot tape.

I downloaded twice the version for 11.00
I don't have the file WINSTALL

works?

I think there is a bug in this version for hpux 11.00
During the installation I see serveral files in the directory /opt/ignite/boot
(WINSTALL, WINSTALLFS, ...)
During the cleanup fase off the swinstall all these files are removed.

The WINSTALL file is for 64 bit hpux. Are you, by any chance, running 32 bit?

No I am running 64 bit.
The server is an L2000
The path revision March 2004 off hpux 11.00 is also installed

You need to pull the bundle for 11.11 and for 11.00, because the kernels for 11.00 are the same as for 11.11 and are only shipped in the 11.11 bundle see:

Hi,
I'm experiencing the same exact problem. Could I know what the fix is. We're running Ignite-UX-11-00_C.6.1.

The software was successfully installed from the .depot file. I get the same exact error message as the author did.

How do I make 2 depots into 1 single depot (after reading the url pasted). We're running 64 bit 11.0.
