Re: Ignite back is slow
What type of Ignite backup? To tape (make_tape_recovery)? To another server (make_net_recovery)? If to tape, what kind of tape drive?
By the way, there's no way 11.11 is running on an rx4640. 11.11 is a PA-RISC only OS. 11.23 is the first to run on Itanium, which is what the rx type servers are.

Re: Ignite back is slow
Humm, tape backup or network backup?
Are you backing up with the option -x inc_entire=vg00?
Are you backing up while the system is very busy?

Re: Ignite back is slow
Provide the details as others asked.
when you say slow,
It is comparison. Tell us how did you feel that it is slow. Was that happening fast earlier for the same client?
What was the last change. SW/HW
