Ignite error
Folks,
I am trying to install HP-UX B.11.23 on an Itaniaum box, through the golden image. From my box when I enforce my booting process to contact the ignite server, I encounter the following error,
* Releasing DHCP allocated IP address...
* Bringing up Network (lan0)
add net default: gateway 172.16.1.10
* Reading configuration information from server...
* NFS mounting clients directory.
* Using client directory: /var/opt/ignite/clients/0x00306EF38C05
ERROR: The version of Ignite-UX on the server you are using (C.6.1.44) is
different than the version of Ignite-UX that the client booted
(B.5.0.35). The versions must match in order to ensure correct
behavior. You may need to update the device you booted from with the
components found on the server.
Continuing the installation with a server version mismatch is likely
to cause indeterminate problems. Do you want to continue anyway? (y/[n]): y

How to overcome this problem. Also please expalin the nesscessary steps for successfully installing 11.23 on a itanium server using the golden image.
Thanks for the help.

Re: Ignite error
Well nobody has touched this one, so maybe if I throw something out here, other smarter folks will add something...
I don't have an Itanium box, and I don't do too much with Golden Image.
But....it is obvious that the versions of Ignite between the two boxes you are working with are different.
So to get you started, why not upgrade your Ignite so your at the same level on both boxes and then retry. (At least till someone else pipes in).
Rgrds,
Rita

Re: Ignite error
It seems that the ignite version is the first hurdle that you would want to remove. Please have the client and the server brought up to the same rev before creating the golden image. As Rita has already pointed out.
I had hit something similar ( not with Itanium) and ignite version was the first thing that I had to take care of.
thanks
Devesh

Re: Ignite error
Thank you all for the comments. I solved the problem in other way by installing the OS from the ignite server. It worked perfectly.
