Ignite from N class to rp8400 (HPUX 11i)

Hi,

I have just ignited an rp8400 from an N class server. None of the par* commands seemed to be working now on the new rp8400. Please advise. I used 'make_tape_recovery -I -v -x inc_entire=vg00'

Thanks

Hi,

Try reconfiguring the partitionManager product.

swconfig -x reconfigure=true PartitionManager

See if it works then.

I have just added hd_fabric to the system file, compiled the kernel and rebooting it. I believe this would solve the issue.

Thanks

make sure that vpmon is present in /stand. Did you boot the server using "hpux /stand/vpom" at the ISL prompt? Do an swlist and grep for "Partition Manager". It should display somewhat like below and atleast have the 2 below packages.
B6826AA B.11.11.01.05 Partition Manager - HP-UX
T1335AC A.02.01.00 HP-UX Virtual Partitions
VPARMGR B.11.11.01.01 Virtual Partition Manager - HP-UX
