Re: Ignite on the Web!!

Almost all documentation refers to getting ignite ux from http://www.software.hp.com/products/IUX/index.html

But when I have tried to access that site (several times over several weeks now) I get a site not found. Is there any other source for IGNITE.

Joe:

I believe that HP had a problem with downloads for IGNITE recently. I also recall that this has been corrected within the last day or so. I'd give it a try again. The site that you reference is the one.

Re: Ignite on the Web!!

I've been having trouble reaching www.software.hp.com too. The address appears to be an alias for hpat925.external.hp.com (192.151.52.10), but any attempts to contact this server come back with error 400 messages (bad request) in both Netscape and MSIE. Clearing out browser cache is no help either.

Re: Ignite on the Web!!

If you continue to have problems downloading Ignite from the software depot, try using this page to send a message directly to the Depot staff.

Re: Ignite on the Web!!

Tim,
Two problems with www.software.hp.com have been identified and are in the process of being fixed.

Apparently, the site was recently moved to an upgraded server. There was a change in the configuration of the server which caused the problem.

There is also a problem that has been linked to using the "remember me" function when you log into the ITRC. It places a cookie on your system that may interact with some firewalls causing a refused connection to www.software.hp.com.

I was told that you can place a support call to get assistance with this issue. Personally, I would just clear the cookies and try it again.

Re: Ignite on the Web!!

Hi all-

I also talked with the www.software.hp.com people and made sure they noticed this discussion. The SW Depot Customer Support team added some comments about Ignite-UX, but they landed in the wrong forum. Here's their response:

Let us know if you're continuing to have problems accessing the site.

Many thanks-
Jeff
