Ignite server for PA-RISC & Itanium

We currently have our Ignite server setup on a PA-RISC rp3410 server running HPUX 11.11 and Ignite Version: C.6.2.241.

Can this Ignite server also be used to backup HPUX servers running 11.23 ? and both PA-RISC and Itanium servers ?

Shalom,

The most important step is the swcopy of the Core OS DVD/CD to the Ignite Server. Since 11.23 supports both PA-RISC and Itanium, this mixed environment is supported by Ignite.

So long as you have a Core OS swcopied in many versions of HP-UX are supportable.

bootps dgram udp wait root /opt/ignite/lbin/instl_bootd instl_bootd

execute â inetd â câ
