Ignite-UX C.6.10.97 HP-UX System Installation
Services
same hardware RX7640
I have had no problems with the PA-RISK systems
/opt/ignite/bin/make_tape_recovery -x inc_entire=vg00 -I -
a /dev/rmt/1mn
When I boot it tries to create vxfs 4 filesystems and fails. I don't have that installed on any systems.
* Extending logical volume "vg00/lvol8" (/var).
* Extending logical volume "vg00/lvol9" (/u1).
* Making VxFS filesystem for "/stand", (/dev/vg00/rlvol1).
ERROR: File: /sbin/fs/vxfs4.1/mkfs not found.
NOTE: Retrying loadfile command...
ERROR: File: /sbin/fs/vxfs4.1/mkfs not found.
I have a case open with HP support but all they do is keep asking me questions that I have already explained to them.
Has anyone else seen this?

Re: Ignite tape fails with new version
Tested Ignite 6.9 in HP's labs early last month and did not have this problem. Built an entire system. Itanium rx3660 boot off tape, the whole thing.
This bug may have been introduced with Ignite 6.10.
What kind of questions are they asking?
I'd consider backing off to Ignite 6.9.x if thats practical.

Re: Ignite tape fails with new version
HP is just giving me the run around. What version of Ignite are you running. Is it the same hardware type? How did I Ignite the RX from Tape? Did I install from EDI?
If they would ever e-mail me I could send them the whole output.
I may have to capture it and paste it in my ticket.

Re: Ignite tape fails with new version
I found the support persons address and mailing him my full output.
It appears his mail is not getting to me.
Maybe he is not in the US and is blocked.
