Lanboot from Ignite fails for 11.23 on bl860c i2 (ok for 11.31)

Ignite server version c7.12.519 on a HPux 11.23 host

 

we have a new blade server (bl860c i2) and I am trying to recover an ignite archive to this new host.

When I lanboot from the ignite server this brings up the options of installing 11.23 and 11.31

 

The archive I am trying to install is 11.23 so I choose this but then the system reboots and comes back to the normal boot menu and the ignite session is lost.

 

If I choose 11.31 the ignite recovery tool loads and I can see my archives.

 

Any ideas?

This server is not supported with 11.23 at all.
