Re: Make_tape_recovery save_confining failed
Looks not so bad so far.
Please do
# swapinfo -tam
# lvlnboot -v
# save_config -f /var/tmp/myconfig
post the results and contents of /var/tmp/myconfig
I took a quick look into the save_config script. It is trying to do the "fstyp", on error it is checking if this is SWAP. Obviously there is something wrong here with your system. It gets the error, but it cannot confirm LVOL2 as swap...
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Make_tape_recovery save_confining failed
lvol2 is your primary swap -- it cannot have a filesystem on it. You must have a bad entry in fstab.
There is no need to list the primary swap area in fstab. If you want it listed, it should look like this:
/dev/vg00/lvol2 __swap2__ swap defaults 0 0
