Hello,

I need this specific version of ignite:

IGNITE C.7.2.94 HP-UX Installation Utilities (Ignite-UX)

Anyone knows where to download it? from HP i can only see the latest version of ignite available to download :-s
I don't have any application CD from which to install ignite either.

Why do you need older version of ignite?

It is always better to install to latest version. Nothing harm to work with different version of ignite-ux. Only thing is same system should not have two different versions.

Hi Ganesan,

I'm having this issue on one of my boxes:

ERROR: The version of the tools used for system recovery on "server1" is newer
than the version found on the server system "slbdp1". You need to
either update the version of Ignite-UX on the server or down-date the
version on "server2"

Because right now i don't want to upgrade the ignite version on my ignite server and in all of my servers...

This in the only server that has a different version of ignite, don't know why...I need to run make_net_recovery on it and i think the faster way is to downdate this server and maybe later plan to upgrade all the servers to latest version to ignite...

Bonjour,

You can dowgrade the ignite version of an ignite client to the version of the ignite server. General guidelines :

- from the ignite server (slbdp1 ?) check with "swlist -l depot" if you have a depot named "/var/opt/ignite/depots/recovery_cmds". If not, create it with the command "/opt/ignite/lbin/pkg_rec_depot"
- from the ignite client, uninstall ignite with "swremove"
- from the ignite client reinstall ignite with "swinstall -s slbdp1:/var/opt/ignite/depots/recovery_cmds"
