Procedure for image restore make_net_recovery
Dear Experts,
I am new for Ignite UX for using make_net-recovery. Need guidence for the same.
We are using VSE and having 6 physical hosts running 3-4 virtual machine on each. The model of servers are BL860i2 nd 870i2. HPUX 11.31. Our ignite server is rx1620 running 11.31.
Using GUI I used make_net_recovery, I got the image of one VM. The path where I am keeping images are /os-images/<hostname>. Today I took image of one host after installing patches, modifying kernel and installing applicationas /os-images/<hostname>/2012-01-12,10:48.
redignite:/os-images/vdxwf010#ll 2012-01-12,10:48
-rw------- 1 bin sys 5872940943 Jan 4 12:34 2012-01-12,10:48
redignite:/os-images/vdxwf010#
Now please guide me step by step,
1. if I have to restore this same image on same machine in case of disk failure
2. On another VM (which has no OS installed, fresh VM) how to proceed for this.
Regards
Gurmit

Re: Procedure for image restore make_net_recovery
You should have redundant disks!
However, from EFI console use dbprofile and point to the ignite server.
2. On another VM (which has no OS installed, fresh VM) how to proceed for this.
create an golden image. The admin guide has all the details!
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
