Question about tape device

Hello folks,

an ioscan -fnC tape gives me the following output

======================================================================
tape 0 10/12/5.0.0 stape CLAIMED DEVICE HP C1537A
/dev/rmt/0m /dev/rmt/0mnb /dev/rmt/
/dev/rmt/0mb /dev/rmt/c3t0d0BEST /dev/rmt/
/dev/rmt/0mn /dev/rmt/c3t0d0BESTb /dev/rmt/

I assume that when I run >make_tape_recovery -iI I should choose /dev/rmt/0mn right?

Hi:

Yes, for Ignite recovery tapes you need a no-rewind device. Hence, in your case '/dev/rmt/0mn' which is the default for Ignite.
