I would like to ask if my root disk (vg00) is run under software mirror with another disk, does the backup of make_tape_recovery would also include this configuration, so that when I tried to recovery the server from the backup tape, it would not need to configure the mirror setting again? Thanks.

Solution
No, the system does not automatically remirror your system if you recover from tape. (That is if you use the -I interactive option you need to remirror the logical volumes) What method are you using?
Not sure why, but you raise a valid point.

Re: Question on make_tape_recovery
No it does not re-mirror your VG00. It does not matter how you create the tape, you WILL have to recreate your mirrors manually.

Re: Question on make_tape_recovery
Hi Simon,
make_tape_recovery will not include the mirror configuration. It will not restore with mirroring.
As rightly said, you will have to remirror the disks under vg00 manually.
