Restore HPUX 11.31
Hello
Like to know is the possibility of restoring HPUX 11.31 OS from a fbackup OS backup and rebuild the system in a rx - Itanium environment (No ignite available)

fbackup is not really intended as a tool to restore a broken operating system. The better tool for that is Ignite/UX.
Would you be restoring to the same system or a different system?
In order to restore from fbackup you would have to have an operating system, at least a basic one, already installed on the system. Then you would have to restore your appropraite files from the fbackup backup tape. Once that has been done you would need to reboot to see what happens.

fbackup requires HP-UX in order to run. You need to install HP-UX from your DVD.

For HPUX OS backup always use Ignite-UX .
