Restoring HPUX

I have an ignite tape from a server which has just crushed, i want to know how do i restore it including the DB2 file systems.I did boot from the ignite tape and installed the HPUX files now i cant su - , can any one pliz help

The ignite backup contains vg00 (the OS) by default, if your data is in another vg it is not included. You need to restore this data from your recent backup (DP, fbackup or whatever you are using).
You should check if the data disks are still there and consider to import them (vgimport).

Sorry i put my question wrongly: i have a number of issues after the restore
1. I cant start the sap its saying "ERROR : START-Profile does not exist Please check profile-directory and restart"
and also i cant change the user to db2prd

So you need to check if the user exists. Is it a local user or probably something else, e.g. NIS? Is the home directory local or maybe on nfs? There is a lot you should check ...

Sure this user is not created after the backup?
