Restoring with Ignite image

Hello,

I have made a archive image of a 11.11 version and modified the index file to place the configuration of 11.11 version.

I wanted to rebuild a server with 11.11 image, So I rebooted the system to catch my ignite server to kick off the installation.

When I run the following command :-

Main Menu: Enter command or menu > bo lan.10.120.30.142 INSTALL
Interact with IPL (Y, N, or Cancel)?> n

Booting...

2. Exit

My Ignite server shows the following configurations :-

chrisdev make_recovery
martiprod 11.23
frankprod 11.23IA
Golgen Image 11.23 IA
Blade Image 11.23 IA
new 11.11 image

new 11.11 image is the one which I wanted to deploy. Why isn't showing? Or how can I use the image?

What could be problem?

What is the ownership of the new image. It should be bin:bin.

Re: Restoring with Ignite image

Hello,

Your Ignite server do not have a boot image for B.11.11.

you need to install the following fileset :
Ignite-UX.BOOT-KRN-11-11

from your Ignite install depot on your Ignite server.

It will create the /opt/ignite/boot/Rel_B.11.11 directory with the appropriate files for booting selection.

Re: Restoring with Ignite image

Hello,

it's strange than Ignite does not ask you for a B.11.11 target ... and you have a B.11.11 clause ...

if you have an OS on your client, try to register it to your ignite server with :
/opt/ignite/bin/add_new_client -s sk2451

if you don't have OS, boot on B.11.23 target and let the client register to the ignite server.

run the "ignite" command, select your client, make a "new install" and choose your image in the list.

Re: Restoring with Ignite image

Cedrick,

When I go to ignite TUI and select the client and select install new client, I get the following error :-

Client "xyz52" is not ready to install yet.

The client was already registered, so I didn't register it.

I could find 2 versions of ignite-ux:-
Shouldn't this be one?
