Setting Up Ignite Sources
Hi,
I'm not very familiar with this aspect of Ignite-UX. I've got two Ignite servers to manage. The whole backup and recovery part of it is fine, however, can any tell me the series of commands or point me in the direction of a good document / thread which details how you setup an OS source for using to install clients?
Basically what I want to achieve is both of my servers being able to push out base 11.00, 11.11 and 11.23 OS installations to clients. I just need to know the correct way of getting the data off the CD-ROMs / DVDs and onto the Ignite-UX server and configured so that those base OS installs are available options for installing new clients.
BTW I'd rather not use the crappy GUI turotial Ignite server setup thing.
Can anyone help?
Many Thanks - Lee

Re: Setting Up Ignite Sources
Start with the Ignite command 'make_depots'. This command will copy HP-UX media to a place on your Ignite server and serve it up for installs.
After that, use the Ignite command 'make_config' to add menu controls and configuration data to the depots.
Finally, use the 'manage_index' command to make these available.
