Sizing for Oracle EBusiness Suite 11i on HPUX 11i

All,

Does anyone have an sizing information for Oracle EBusiness Suite 11i on HPUX 11i ( memory and CPU ). We have about 60concurrent Core apps users and 200 Iprocurement users.

The docs for this product have a clear formula for this product:

http://otn.oracle.com

Plug the formulas into a worksheet then you are done. Then increase the numbers 50% to cover the next upgrade.

Talk to HP/Your reseller.

They have access to sizing tools for EBusiness Suite that they don't put in the public domain. They will give you a questionaire to complete and then feed these into the sizer. If they want the business, they shouldn't be charging you for this.

Hi Pat,

I 've reviewed that there is no fixed and documented memory requirement for an 11i installation, however we do provide guidelines like:
1. Memory,
To calculate the memory requirements on the database tier, consider that following:
- oracle database overhead
- size of SGA
- number of concurrent users
- other software running on the database tier
Use a guideline of 8 MB per user to estimate the application requirement for the node where you install the form server.
(**However this guide would not reflect much if you run all tiers on a single machine)

I have found a sizer tool on the HP web site http://activeanswers.compaq.com/sizers/ORA13B/ORA13B.html , but it is for the HP ProLiant and Alpha ( Tue64 UNIX ) servers. Does anyone know where I get get hold of the same for HPUX 11i ?

If not then who in HP should I contact to get this information, I am working for a company based in Cork, Ireland.

Your local reseller/HP account manager *should* know who to talk to - If your getting no joy out of them, you could direct a query to the HP/Oracle co-operative technology centre oraclectc@hp.com - I'm sure they could give you a local contact who can help.
