Taking a Golden Image of Client

Hi,

I'm in the process of trying to take a Golden Image of a Client Server. I already have the image file called imhqu27.gz as well as the impact file called imhqu27.impact.

Next in my instructions I have a command I'm supposed to run and when I do so, I get the following error message:

imhqu27 #install_adm -T -f
sh: install_adm: not found.

Would anyone be familiar with this and what I'm missing, because it looks like this syntax isn't right. BTW.. I have both the impact and .gz image file in /var

Thanks,
-Ken

Re: Taking a Golden Image of Client

Ken,

I think it's just not in your path. Try:

/opt/ignite/bin/install_adm -T -f

Eventually you may want to add /opt/ignite/bin to your path.

Re: Taking a Golden Image of Client

Hi I've added this command to my path and things are a little better. I'm still having an issue now, because the command is taking, however it's looking for some sort of an argument. Is this run against my image.gz file or my impact file?

Re: Taking a Golden Image of Client

Sorry, Ken, that's beyond my limited Ignite experience. I've only done the tape backups and never worked with golden images.

I do not knwo it either, but from "man instl_adm" looks like the configuration file, so i think the .impact
