Vales for fsf in mt command

Dear experts,
Is there any range for using fsf with mt command.
mt -f /dev/rmt/0m fsf 19
mt -f /dev/rmt/0m fsf 1
mt -f /dev/rmt/0m fsf 22
.
.
mt -f /dev/rmt/0m fsf ????

There is no practical limit for the fsf option. However, the device file you are using (0m) uses AT&T default behavior which will rewind the tape after issuing read and position commands. To control the tape position in a logical way, use the Berkeley device file names with no-rewind option. From the mt man page:

WARNINGS
Only raw, no-rewind Berkeley-type devices should be specified. This type of device will not reposition the tape upon close. An example of such a device is /dev/rmt/0mnb or /dev/rtape/tape1_BESTnb. See mt(7) for more details.
