Want feedback on mixed messages in install.log
Hi folks.
Currently, there can be an interleaving of messages into the install.log from swagent and swinstall during the Ignite process.
The same messages are logged to swinstall.log and swagent.log so if you cant read it correctly in install.log, then you can go to the specific log and see it there.
Here's what I'd like to see as far as feedback on this issue:
1) Is this issue something you have run into personally in the past ?
2) Is this an issue that impacted your ability to do your job ?
3) Do you think fixing this problem would be a good use of lab resources or is the workaround sufficient ?
Best regards,
Kent M. Ostby

Re: Want feedback on mixed messages in install.log
Kent,
swinstall, swagent and install.log files work great.
but if would be nice if HP can seperate IUX install log into its own log file. instead of mixing it all over the place.
no it has not impacted my ability to perform my job, just annoying jumping arond different log files.
maybe, HP can think of sending the logs via syslog to their own local??.info so the admins/engineer can choose for themselves where to route the logs.
peace,
Donny
