Warning - Check Recovery Archive Status
We received the following error in syslog for multiple servers in our houx server estate last night:-
Warning - Check Recovery Archive Status
I have checked in the /var/opt/ignite/recovery/archive/[hostname] and a gzip file exists with the same timestamp as the warning.
The gzip file is the same size as the previous week's gzip file (for which we received no error) so on a superficial level all looks ok.
Unfortunaetly as the ignite warning message is not very explicit I am not sure how to progress this.
One point which may be central to this is that the ignite server was upgraded from 7.6.100 to 7.7.98:-
IGNITE C.7.7.98 HP-UX Installation Utilities (Ignite-UX)
Ignite-UX-11-23 C.7.7.98 HP-UX Installation Utilities for Installing 11.23 Systems
Ignite-UX-11-31 C.7.7.98 HP-UX Installation Utilities for Installing 11.31 Systems
whereas an example ignite client server shows:-
IGNITE C.7.6.100 HP-UX Installation Utilities (Ignite-UX)
Ignite-UX-11-31 C.7.6.100 HP-UX Installation Utilities for Installing 11.31 Systems
Questions:-
1) Do I have to upgrade every ignite client to 7.7.98
2) Are the current ignite client images likely to be complete & useable?

Re: Warning - Check Recovery Archive Status
Shalom,
How did you upgrade.
ignite is one of those depots that requires a swremove prior to installation of a new client.
You must make all warnings of this type go away to have reliable Ignite recovery images.
Your questions:
1) You should upgrade all the clients.
2) Yes, old archives are usable by the new version of Ignite.
