backup and ignite
I have hpux server 11.23 U 9000/800 and i didn't know how can i tack a backup and ignite so
i want to help.
if you can give me any bdf or document contain all steps from a to z and also after that how can i check if the backup & ignite succeeded or not.

First check ignite is installed in your system or not.
#swlist -l product | grep -i ignite
For taking backup on tape,
# /opt/ignite/bin/make_tape_recovery -x inc_entire=vg00 -I -v -a /dev/rmt/0mn
There is a lot of options you can use.See the below link.

Follow the steps given in the link - it's pretty straight forward.
Folks, correct me if I am wrong : I don't believe you can take ignite backup to a DVD - and DVD Capacity would not be enough for the vg00
