best way to make backup

hi there
i have a server hp9000 rp7420 with hp-ux 11iv1
and want to make a backup for my system and i have oracle 10g installed in my system what is the best way to make the backup for the both.
if my system down ??

Dear Tareq
first u need ignite bakcup
this for to bring u system minimum level
make_tape_recovery-x inc_entire=vg00
once system crashed it
u can boot it from ignite back up
the rest thing u asked i mean all other system u can restore later on this only from back up media depends on u environmetn
somebodey are using dataprotector others are doing manual backup etc...

For OS you can use ignite backup.

If the questions comes for Oracle backup. What kind of backup you want to back up?
RMAN, flat file, exported dump file ???

EMC Legato also can help you for Oracle backup.
