going from HP-UX 11.0 64-bit to 32-bit

due to a support issue with an application vendor, I must go from HPUX 64-bit to
HPUX 32-bit
on this platform:
# uname -a
HP-UX hlcux002 B.11.00 U 9000/800 151921577 unlimited-user license
What would doing this entail.....
(Am I in for a lot of work??)

Honestly, of course the only way to be, I'd just buckle up for a full cold install! It's the safest thing to do.

backup everything...

then you need to reinstall the OS and select 32bit..

then reinstall all you applications

Then restore your data files from backup

....

Unfortunately, you can't simply change versions from 64bit to 32bit... it requires a complete clean install.

What model of machine is this? There are some machines that support ONLY 64-bit HP-UX. The L and N series come ti mind right away.

Here is the HP-UX 11.0 support matrix for servers. It shows which servers support 32-bit only, 64-bit only, or 32/64 bit HP-UX.

Thanks you all. We have an L class Server, and it appears only 64-bit HP-UX is supported on that platform.
