Re: ignite-UX boot problem

Shalom,

ioscan -fnC tape

On the server that is giving issues.

There may be a problem with the tape drive, or stape driver may need to be in the kernel.

In the boot process
interupt at the 10 second prompt
sea

If you see no sequential device, your tape drive is invisible. I'd put in a hardware call to HP.

Re: ignite-UX boot problem

Hi,

You can also search for bootable devices by typing

sea ipl

we should get the sequential access media listed, if the tape and the drive is OK

Siva.

Re: ignite-UX boot problem

selam;

after ioscan -fnCtape i see the drivers.
but i can not find sequential access media after >sea command.

then i plugin a terminator to the tape device.system can now find the bootable tape device.

thanks;
