Re: ignite backup error ?

The problem appears to be with the volume that couldn't be with /dev/vg00/lvol2

This should be a swap or swap / dump volume.

Check to make sure that your swap is configured correctly.

swapinfo -tam

also make sure that the volume is configured correctly.

lvdisplay -v /dev/vg00/lvol2

fstyp of this should return an unkown type - which is ok.

However, check that your swap is correctly configured.

Scott.

Re: ignite backup error ?

Hi,

As suggested you could have a problem
with your primary swap logical volume
which by default is /dev/vg00/lvol2

On the latest version of ignite you can
create an interactive recovery tape which
supersedes the method you are using.

Try this methid and see if it produces
the same messages.

# make_tape_recovery -x inc_entire=vg00 -I -v -a /dev/rmt/0mn

You can download the latest ignite software
from
