ignite backup unsuccessful

I am seeing this problem when trying to perform an ignite backup on one of the nodes on a Duplex SIG (had no problems with the other node). It seems that John Ferrara posted this back in January but there was no valid solution to the problem, has anyone have better ideas on how to fix this? what is causing it?

Re: ignite backup unsuccessful

This error went away after I did two things(I don't know which actually worked).

1) Removed VxVM Veritas Volume Manager
2) Upgraded to Ignite 4.1.61

Re: ignite backup unsuccessful

Hi,

The error is on the save_config command and is caused by problems with vgdisplay command.

It is fixed in releases of Ignite from March 2003 onwards.

Cheers!
