ignite by dvd

Hi,

I have created a DVD
How tested if this dvd is bootable
I have created a boot entry called dvd but when i search to boot on, i have this error

"load of dvd failed: not found"

It's necessary to boot on a system Cd before launch dvd ignite ?

Generally, please give us more infos: hardware, os, dvd ...

Do you see dvd as bootable device?

You also can do a search here in the forum about boot with dvd.

dvd is not bootable by default, only by "dd" ?

hi,

hardware is rx4640, hpux 11iv2
I have created an entry to efi menu, called dvd

Hi,

No it is not required to boot from OS media before using Ignite DVD.

Assuming the DVD is created correctly, did you check the DVD partition and required files through EFI shell interface?

I would suggest to go through the document at http://www.docs.hp.com/en/5991-0690/5991-0690.pdf on page 8 & 9.

Hi,

effectively, i have created a new cd and tested , it's ok
Problem was that dvd is poor
