I try to configure an ignite server on 11iV3
Whan i launch a make_net_recovery, it's not working
errors are :
Unable to mount or write host1.domainname /var/opt/ignite/recovery/archives/host2
on host1
mkdir -p /var/opt/ignite/recovery/host2
chown bin:bin var/opt/ignite/recovery/archives/host2
I ve checked it's ok
for 11.31, vi /etc/dfs/dfstab
shareall -F nfs
it's ok
My /etc/dfs/dfstab :
share -F nfs -o anon=2 /var/opt/ignite/clients
share -F nfs -o sec=sys,anon=2,rw=host2."mydomainname" /var/opt/ignite/recov
ery/archives/host2."my domainname"
My server are named in FQDN

Re: ignite server & 11iV3 not working
after check, i have found in syslog :
Mar 26 09:45:40 cyclone mountd[1955]: MOUNT request from: "host-vip.mydomainname" denied
On servers i have 2 NIC, i seems that request come to second NIC, which is a private adress
Two networks are present 10.X.X.X and 172.17.X.X
netstat -rn

Re: ignite server & 11iV3 not working
I use a different hostname in /etc/hosts
On the ignite server:
10.132.45.23 ignite
And my backup lan:
192.168.0.34 ignite-bck
The client also has 2 nics, one on the bck network, so i use
make_net_recovey -s ignite-bck
And it uses that network.
You could also export the fs anonymous, and try it out.

Re: ignite server & 11iV3 not working
name to ip and ip to name.
Could be a name resolution prob, Because it's strange is going out the private 10 lan to the 172 network, if it doesn't have a gw.It should always use the 172 nic
you could try and put on the hosts file on the ignite server and on the client, names and ips of both.
