HI:

# make_tape_recovery -x inc_entire=vg00 -I -v -a /dev/rmt/0mn

...will create an Ignite tape for vg00 (which afterall is what you want; no less/no more).

The '-I' means that you can an interactive prompt when you boot from the tape.

Note the use of the no-rewind tape device!

The manpages for 'make_tape_recovery' contain more useful information.

to make a recovery tape type the following command #make_tape_recovery -a /dev/rmt/**mn -AIv -x inc_entire=vg00 -t "Ignite Backup discription"
