make_net_recovery Image to ignite other Servers

I have Configured one of the vPar(rx8640 - nPar) as a Ignite Server(11iV3), I created a
tar image of another vPar(11iV3) through make_net_recovery and saved on my ignite server.

Now i want to ignite another vPars on same nPar and other nPars.

while igniting they get the response back while broadcasting but they get an error message
after I select the option of Install HP-UX

error message"Currently Selected Configuration does not contain any environments.
You may select another confuiguration"

Can i use this make_net_recovery image to ignite another vpars/servers or i need to use
Golden Image (make_sys_image).

Shalom,

make_net_recovery if you watch it while it is running, runs make_sys_image

make_sys_image is the tool behind the scenes.

What you need to do is configure your server to service the image. The server needs access to the location of the image.

Re: make_net_recovery Image to ignite other Servers

Sounds like you are trying to clone a make_net_recovery image to create additional vpars.

Normally, a recovery image is used to restore the same client. That is why you see the 'no environments' msg.

The Ignite User Manual has some instructions to set this up: See 'Cloning a System Using make_net_recovery' http://docs.hp.com/en/5992-5309/ch15s02.html

Re: make_net_recovery Image to ignite other Servers

Or simp;y peruse the Ignite-UX FAQ that shuld be on your system already.

Path:

/opt/ignite/share/doc/FAQ

and Focus on Section 11.2:

11.2
Q: How can I clone a client using make_net_recovery?

Re: make_net_recovery Image to ignite other Servers

This probably means a "source" syntax in your archive_cfg file is not correct.

Consider attaching your archive_cfg file.
