Hi,
Running Ignite-UX-11-31 C.7.11.444 on a Integrity BL860c with the OS HP-UX 11.31. When running a

Included the ioscan and lssf.

Here is the output:

Not causing it to fail, just annoying. Can anyone shed any light on this error and how to correct it.
Thanks,

Re: make_net_recovery error on tape device.

>/dev/rmt/c11t0d0BEST: Device busy.

Have you tried ll on that device to see who the owner is and last modification date?
Or used lsof to see which processes have it open?

Re: make_net_recovery error on tape device.

Hi,

Reboot took away the error. Since then it has started again.  "ll" reveals the owner/group as bin/bin.

There is no command "lsof" on a hpux system. lsof is a linux command.

I still have not figured out what causes it the error.  HP support was of no help either.

What was the modification date, something recent?

You need to download it:

Solution

Re: make_net_recovery error on tape device.

Found a solution:  I upgraded the Ignite software to  Ignite-UX-11.31_C.7.13.259_HP-UX_B.11.00_32_64.depot and problem went away.

Thanks,

Leslie
