make_net_recovery

/ignite/archives/client in the ignite server located on NFS - NetAPPS

This file system should exported for the clients ,but the customer can do it , because the ignite server is not the NFS server , NETAPPS is the NFS server.
when the customer put entry in /etc/exports he get the error :

exportfs : /ignite: Too many levels of remote in path , which is right , it can be export from NFS client again.

any idea or workaround to slove it ?

Re: make_net_recovery

I hope you are trying to export the file system which is mounted from ignite server like,

ignite server -> nfs server -> nfs client

in /etc/exportfs you are trying to export the ignite server file system.

it can be export from NFS client again --> says nfs client can directly mount for ignite server file system itself.

Re: make_net_recovery

Export /ignite file system in ignite server with NFS to NFS client with /etc/exportfs file.

-- /etc/exports --
/ignite -o root=

# exportfs -a

Mount the file system in nfs client now!

Re: make_net_recovery

Dear eran,

Make sure the write permission is given to the share.

In /etc/exports in the concerned share give
-o root=host1:host2

and run

#exportfs -av

to re-export the share.

you can also try mounting the nfs mount from OS and try writing something in it to confirm the permissions.

With Regards,

Siva.
