make recovery and print_manifest

When running make_tape_recovery & print_manifest on my rp7400 server i have the following error:

WARNING: Cannot find device file: 18
WARNING: Cannot find device file: 8
WARNING: Cannot find device file: 17

Is this a minor error or something i should be concerned about?

Phil,

Try running "insf -e" and then re-run your print_manifest to see if you get the same errors. They should be minor but it would be nice if this fixes them.

Hi Phil,

Pete got it. Run 'ioscan -fnkC disk' and make sure you have the device files associated with each disk path shown in there.

Try 'insf' and see if new device files are created. If not, you can run insf -e -H to create only those device files.

Pete, thanks alot. The insf -e did it! Must have been some strange device file.

And i did another make_tape_recovery no errors!
