make_tape_recovery on non-local tape drives

Scenerio: I have a system without an internal tape drive, it's on it's own subnet (lets call this clientX). So I cannot use a boot helper nor can I ignite from tape.

Posible solution:

I want to make a tape recovery of the clientX using the Ignite server's tape drive. This way, if I need to recover, I can hook up an external tape drive to clientX and use the tape created from the Ignite Server to recover clientX. Is this feasible? If so, any suggestions? In the meantime, I will try to look for the answer and post it here.

This has been covered several times here. The short answer is No, you can't do a make_tape_recovery to a remote tape drive. There are some other options though. Here are several threads for your review:
