I'm having a brain dead moment. I usually create my ignite tapes as :
make_tape_recovery -A -I -v and let it default to /dev/rmt/0mn. I have one server that I don't currently have a local tape drive on (I will shortly) and I need to create a tape.
How can I point to a remote tape device?

Re: make_tape_recovery to remote tape device
HI Gary,
This is not possible. You can allthough do a make_net_recovery to an Ignite server and can then back up that ignite server onto local tape.
HTH,
Devender

Re: make_tape_recovery to remote tape device
Appears that I'm not brain dead after all (that's a relief), but that I can't do it.
Thanks for the help.
