make_tape_recovery
Hi,
I need an information about make_tape_recovery.
On my al lot of systems, I use the remain part of vg00 also for other things (backup, repository of files ecc) with other logical volume (for example /dev/vg00/lv_backup mounted on /backup)
To standardize the command on every systems I would like to have the possibility of save entirely only the system logical volume :
/dev/vg00/lvol1
/dev/vg00/lvol3
/dev/vg00/lvol4
/dev/vg00/lvol5
/dev/vg00/lvol6
/dev/vg00/lvol7
/dev/vg00/lvol8
It is possible to do that ?
Don't interest me the following solution :
make_tape_recovery -v -x inc_entire=vg00 -x exclude=/backup
because I should have different command (exclusion) to do on each server.
Thank you very much in advance

Re: make_tape_recovery
Hi Luigi,
I don't think it would be possible at volume level. See if the -f options helps you out!!

You need to know a lot to actually know how little you know

Re: make_tape_recovery
Hi Luigi,
Maybe the list_expander would help you,
Take a look at this question from ignite faq,
http://www.software.hp.com/products/IUX/faq.html#d0e3383
Remeber you may get a warning that a part of vg00 is being exluded from the archive if you list_expander and omit a few lv's from the vg00 VG in the archive.
Hope this helps.
