make_tape_recovery

Hi
make_recovery works on one system with tape , but in a system with no tape have a tape drive
installed ?
Are there ways of utilising the tape drive from one system to create the
necessary tape from the other?

Re: make_tape_recovery

You can move the tape driver to that server, connect and prepare the ignite tape recovery.

Or you can prepare the net recovery for the server.

Prepare the ignite server. Then use make_net_recovery command to create the recovery archive.

Re: make_tape_recovery

YOu have to use make_net_recovery to archive the system image on the network.

check the make_net_recovery information at /opt/ignite/share/doc/makenetrec.txt
