Re: make_tape_recovery

Hello,

as suggested, check whether Ignite-UX is present. Download and install if necessary. Afterwards, the binary should be located under /opt/ignite/bin.

Add this path to your PATH variable eventually.

And yes, assign points to responses to your threads.

Re: make_tape_recovery

I would go with Ganeshan's thread.

Ist: If we install Ignite-UX automatically the path is added in /etc/PATH

IInd: If make_tape_recovery is not found, probably it is that the Ignite-UX product is not installed.
You could download the pacakge from
http://h20392.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=IGNITEUXB

NOTE: Downtime is not required for installation
Once the product is downloaded, install it via

# swinstall -s

Once done, take the OS backup on tape via

# make_tape_recovery -v -x inc_entire=vg00 -a /dev/rmt/Xmn
Replace Xmn with the tape device file
eg: 0mn or 1mn

Also, please assign points to the threads.,
