I have a server which is not bootable and a make_net_recovery image created on another server identical with the one which is not bootable.
When I do boot lan.x.x.x.x install my non-bootable server boots successfully from my IUX server and starts the HP-UX installation. How can I use my existing make_net_recovery archive with it though? It looks like it will install a clean O/S only.
Any help is greately appreciated.
Thank you!
james

Re: recover a non bootable server
I am not sure about that. I already have a clients/0x... directory customized for it and when I booted it from the IUX server it asked me again about type of install, which NIC I am using, its IP address, etc.
Is it possible in my situation to boot it and restore it in a "bootsys way"? I mean withou interaction at all so it should read all my config files from the IUX server and skip the questions step?
Thank you!
