swinstall
When i run swinstall -s /dev/rmt/0m : iam getting the following error message :An internal error occurred in the agent or daemon
supplying access to this object.
* Target connection failed for "nclass5:/".
ERROR: More information may be found in the daemon logfile on this
target (default location is nclass5:/var/adm/sw/swagentd.log).
* Selection had errors.
The swagentd.log has the following error message :
The target "/" could not be opened. pid=4993 03/06/02 13:57:10

* Agent pid=4993 completed. 03/06/02 13:57:10 IST
I tried killing and restarting the swagentd but it still gave this error.

Hi,
Check if there is any swagent process spawned by the swinstall process. Do a ps -ef |grep sw. Then shutdown swagentd and then do a ps -ef again. If you still see any swagent process, kill it and then restart the swagent daemon.
Also make sure the nslookup resolves the hostname and ip address of the system correctly.
