Customer trying to deploy linux which got more than 4 partitions.
He got an error which say : Successfully create zero partition
I asked him to upgrade From V1.5 to V1.6 which fix the partition problem , but he got same error.
Any hints..
Thanks

Re: Problem Deploy more than 4 partitions
Add an extended partition and you can create within it as many partitions as you need to accommodate your Linux installation.

Re: Problem Deploy more than 4 partitions
Is this on a new install of an OS ? or a deployment of a captured OS image ?
Is he trying to use LVM ? ICLE does not support LVM at this time. If you can get me the error log that would help tremendously.
Also, how is he setting up the partitions ?
Is he using the "Use_Image" option for the filesystem type ?
best regards,
Robert

SolutionI would still create each partition manually in the wizard to make sure it gets setup correctly. Remember that the customer can then save that provision task as a profile and only have to do the manual setup once.
Do you have a system setup where you can test this ?

Re: Problem Deploy more than 4 partitions
O.K Robert
Yes, customer got system which he can test the deploy.
I will ask the customer to do what you asked.
I think its good workaround.
Thanks again.
Shalom.
