Re: bonding not working in RHEL 5.1 ES?

Maybe there is a typo somewhere?

The error message "eth doesn seem to be present" indicates that the bonding configuration requires a NIC named "eth". In Linux, NICs are usually named eth0, eth1, eth2 and so on - never "eth".

Please show us the output of "ifconfig -a" and the /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-* files of your bond and all its slaves (physical NICs).

Re: bonding not working in RHEL 5.1 ES?

Shalom,

There are many things not working on RHEL 5.1

Before I spend a lot of time trying to debug them, I'd go for Red Hat 5.2.

A lot of issues I had with 5.1 were resolved by 5.2.
