Cannot get back Entitlement ID (HPUX 11i system)
After Installing, configuring and checking the connectivity of the ISSE client for an HPUX system we didn't manage to get back the Entitlemnt ID.
Does anybody know if the above problem is related to the case that ISEE patches have not been installed yet to the system?
Regards

However, there could be different causes why you don't get entitlement.
Can you attach the MAD.log for investigation?

Re: Cannot get back Entitlement ID (HPUX 11i system)
/sbin/init.d/rstemsListener stop
/sbin/init.d/hpservices stop
/sbin/init.d/rstemsListener start
/sbin/init.d/hpservices start
And you will be able to get back the Entitlement ID.

Re: Cannot get back Entitlement ID (HPUX 11i system)
There is definitly some kind of IP communication problem here.
First of all try to see if you can reach following url from the HPUX system:
http://isee.europe.hp.com/mots/motserv
-Doublecheck the contact details in the ISEE client before (re)submitting. Avoid '/' or
other non obvious characters in the contact information fields. Check that you haven't missed anything.
-NAT on the firewall could be set wrong
-Is the firewall able to receive return http packets?
-Some firewalls mistakingly see encrypted traffic (ISEE traffic) as executables and therefor blocks the traffic.
-Check that duplex settings on networkcards and switches match. Incorrect
settings result sometimes in very slow communications.
-Try reinstalling the client if you can't find anything wrong.

Re: Cannot get back Entitlement ID (HPUX 11i system)
I believe this is your problem:
140306 04:16:16.391 ERROR,[Comm] mmsg.cpp:34 NetworkException (10): Socket::read(): recv() timeout [[192.6.126.144]]
Can you tell me about this host: 192.6.126.144. It's timing out when trying to communicate with 192.6.126.144.
You may want to include /opt/hpservices/etc/motprefs in your reply.

Attached you can find the file you asked for. Finally note that the referred server can be reached.

Re: Cannot get back Entitlement ID (HPUX 11i system)
1. nslookup isee.europe.hp.com
2. telnet isee.europe.hp.com 80
I also need to know what kind of Firewall software you are using and if port 80 is allowed for outbound traffic?
Please check with your Networking folks to see if you need to use Proxy Server to connect to the Internet.
