Design for a Redundant Prod / DR SIM CMS and RSP implementation

We have a need to design a redundant Systems Insight Manager(SIM) Central Managemnt System (CMS) server configuration supporting Remote Support Pack (RSP) in a redundant configuration across the production / DR sites, in order to support the Continuous Access EVA environment.

You can start by reading "Deploying HP SIM 5.x on MSCS Clusters on Windows" here:
http://h10018.www1.hp.com/wwsolutions/misc/hpsim-helpfiles/deploying_MSCSclusters.pdf

But I figure you read it already, and know that's just one part of the story. I don't want to discourage you, but I've been looking into this myself and was let down by the lack of documentation and complexity of the RSP components.

For example, you need to clusterize not only SIM, but probably WEBES and it's stealth MS-SQL database, the mysterious software manager, OSEM, and also the collectors if you're using them. There's lots of stuff. It is not explained in the document above how to do this. These tools all seem to be scattered under Program Files but I'm sure they leave all sorts of crap in the registry.

My advice? Just clusterize SIM with CLX-EVA. If you have a disaster, reinstall RSP completely using a tested procedure to restore it to a workable state, and you should be back up within a few hours. Unless you have spent lots of time customizing WEBES and OSEM, they don't hold a lot data and sync it from SIM directly, so there will not be many modifications to do.

If you come up with something better, please let me know, as I would like to do something similar too.
